Have both of mine ready. One with beer one with margaritas and meat for the grill. Going to be a good day by the pool.

Filled one of mine with beer and ice last night. My sticker is on my fridge in the garage though, don't know where that puts me on the OT scale of Trashy to Awesome.

ETA, not doing anything for the 4th, but have a trip scheduled in late August. They'll still be cold.

For day drinking the best cooler is a $29 roller Igloo from Academy.

I used to destroy about 3-4 of those a year before I got my yeti. Haven't bought an ice chest in 8 years now which has saved me money. standing on those cheap coolers 1-2 times in a boat ruins them. I personally am just too rough on ice chests to get Igloos or Colemans.

$400 coolers? Only oilfield trash feels the need to validate their existence through the ownership of a cooler.

It takes a special kind of dumb arse to spend $500 on a fricking cooler.

My bumper sticker reads,
"My Kenmore freezer beat up your Yeti cooler"

So everything you buy is a great value and is completely logical? You don't splurge on anything, right?

Damn, your life sucks.

I could definitely see having one for guys that do alot of fishing where it stays in the boat most of the time. But if you buy a yeti just to drag it to the beach on the weekends, youre trying too hard.

Is it OK to have one for tailgating? What about large parties at your house where you need to ice down an arse load of drinks? I need a list of what is acceptable.

1) Fishing trips
2) Long hunting trips
3) ...
4) ...

I was very skeptical of the cooler at first....but we got one....have had it for about 4 years now....it serves it's purpose for for us....tough and reliable.

It is great when we are out at the rice fields or camp...and it does great keeping our gulf catch fresh for us to get it back to north la.

Using a yeti at the beach when ice is readily available is like walking through the mall with a fricking camelbak on.

You look like an idiot to just about everyone with common sense.

I have a $15 dollar Coleman I got from Kmart...it keeps my beer ice cold...use it every weekend in the summer...Yeti is a status symbol for many guys*...its hip and cool right now to have one......I will stick with my Coleman...

*some guys who do actively hunt/fish use them as they were intended...and I have no issue with this...as long as the sticker isn't on your truck next to your big Costa sticker....then you are a blow hard

Youre list pretty much covers it. The point of the yeti is that it holds ice for several days. Unless youre house parties last a week, youre still trying too hard. But keep trying to justify you're expensive ice chest to yourself. I obviously struck a nerve.

And here come these guys...

Some hobbies call for this kind of cooler. I bet you have a hobby that we could sit here and judge your purchases on.
