Yea it sucks. I got smashed after the pats game a few weeks back and completely blacked out hanging out with delvin breaux. The next day, I had to ride all the way back to dallas and was dying. I wanted to do nothing but lay down and sleep, but couldn't.

There's nothing hotter to me than a girl who does coke. I don't know why but it's a major turn on

You don't know me very well then. I couldn't give 2 shits if the sun comes up. If I ever got married and then divorced I wouldn't care except if I was dumb and didn't get a prenup because the only thing I do care about is my money.

eh. being alone and doing whatever ya want is pretty damn great, tbh
OK? I wouldn't disagree. I enjoyed living alone, and it would have been nice to have left 20 minutes early this morning. Instead I decided I wanted to help my wife wake the little guy up, and ended up having too much fun that I left later than planned. And it was worth it.

Good for you. Do what makes you happy, but since you post some variation of this every so often, it seems like you are trying to convince everybody for some odd reason.

But what is miserable about personal freedom while still getting laid and without a commitment?

There's nothing wrong with personal freedom. I exercise it every day. I just can't imagine having this attitude. There's nothing better, for me personally, than coming home to my wife and son every evening. I was speaking from my perspective. I was simply saying that I'm glad that I'm not a younger guy today. I enjoy the stability and commitment that my family gives me. I don't want to grow old alone. What is great for some is miserable for others.

I think most people would favor this lifestyle.

But, many have had to throw a pile of cash at attorneys while being drug through family court to avoid living in a cardboard box.

Because the wife was unhappy and was forced to sleep with someone else.

So much this. The fact that a spouse can still be entitled to child support in the instance of a "fault" divorce (i.e. infidelity) is absolutely sickening. They shouldn't get rewarded with a waived time requirement and still get half the assets AND still get paid when they cheated. It's absolutely ludicrous. If they're not entitled to alimony, they shouldn't get child support either.

You're aware of today's marriage climate in assuming?

It's far more irrational to pursue a marriage than the other way around.

And I'm not saying the demise of the nuclear family is good for society either but it's hard to buy into a system that's so heavily against you

Knowing the rate of STD's is rising rapidly, that would deter me from wanting to sleep with randoms. Not to mention that if a man has some money, some women will do anything to get knocked up to benefit, makes it even more scary.

Fortunately, I couldn't say enough nice things about my wife. She wanted me before I had money and we're best friends.

But isn't that what you are in effect promoting every time you post over and over on here in different threads about how stupid it is to get married?

For men who have assets its a a huge risk that you can't exactly mitigate without upsetting your SO.

I would personally be more open to getting married if divorce was not so easy and slanted toward women.

Like I said earlier this is 2017, not 1950.

I think what he is saying is that the nuclear family is the ideal, but our laws have been twisted so much against men that seeking out that nuclear family is basically bait for a bear trap of alimony and child support. Pointing out the reforms that are destroying the nuclear family is not the same as supporting the destruction of the nuclear family. In fact, it is the opposite. It is raising awareness for what truly needs to be changed in order to make the nuclear family economically attractive again.
