Is Amazon trying to mess up a good thing (Prime)?

So a couple of weeks ago I order some parts for a car from Amazon, they are prime. Site says "may take an extra 3-4 days to process". After a week goes by and I don't have them, I check my orders and the expected delivery date was 2 months away! I ordered them direct from the company, and got them the next day.
Yesterday I go to order something else. "Prime", "20 in stock". Expected Delivery date, 1 week away, and now I don't trust that after the other experience.
It seems that they are selling items as Prime that they are no longer warehousing themselves.
And just now they want to pay me for slower shipping. Just keep it simple, and let me expect my items in 2 days if you are going to put the Prime logo next to it.

Did you contact customer service? They usually fix everything for me.

There are poor black kids going without Jordans in NC and here you are bitching about your white prime privilege.

Check your privilege. You probably wouldnt be acting like this if YOUR people we're enslaved and abused for thousands of years, would you now

Why does the Amazon logo in the OP have grape jelly on it?

Last time this happened I contacted customer service and the overnighted my order to me.

I am not as big of an Amazon fan as I use to be one of the reasons is that there are prime items that don't seem to be any difference than if they were not prime items in terms of delivery, etc.

all of my stuff has still been coming in in 2 days.

Dude, they often give you the heads up and you don't have to order it. I have seen where it may take 2-3 days to process and it went out the same day or next day.
The great thing about prime IMO is how easy it is to return the item.

Consider the absurd amount of products sold through that site. Of course items will be sold by X or shipped by X. 9/10 it tells you well before ordering what the expected ship date will be. If it's too far out, try a different seller.
If it's that big of an inconvenience, cancel your prime. No one is making you sign up for it. quityourbitchin

The majority of my orders from Amazon come in late now. Luckily most of my orders are always shite I don't really need, so I don't cry about it if I don't get them quickly. I've had a few important things that didn't get to me in time though and Amazon has always hooked me up with free months of prime or a gift card.

My last dozen or so orders were late and not by just a day. I'm talking 4 or 5 days late. Amazon customer service has gone downhill too, b/c I was basically told oh well.
It's not even the shippers fault as all the late orders were "processing" even when they were guaranteed to arrive by 8pm that night. Kind of hard to arrive when Amazon hasn't even shipped it yet. I'm in Dallas btw with several Amazon warehouses near by.
I'm seriously considering not renewing Prime. Amazon isn't the cheapest anymore and I don't care about the streaming content. I was strictly Prime b/c of the 2 day delivery and that's been hit or miss.
I've been using Google express for many items now. They deliver from Costco, Whole Foods, Fry's, Target etc. I'll still buy items from Amazon, but the free shipping isn't taking any longer than Prime

Amazon prime isn't as good as it used to be. It is still a good deal, but they have slowly changed the availability and pricing on Saturday deliveries in many areas. I also used to be able to order anything I wanted before 4pm to get it in 2 days. Now many items have much earlier cutoff times to get it shipped that day.

What in the hell are y'all ordering that makes prime act the way it does for you? Before the flood I was ordering things off of amazon 3 times a week and not once it was late. I've never had a package delivered late. The few items I've ordered in the past month have been right on time too. I don't get the hate.

I don't know if its just in my head or not, but it seems like although you are buying the same brand of something you already use, products bought from Amazon doesn't have the same quality.

Same here. The streaming content does nothing for me. I used to be as big of a fan of prime as anyone but now it seems like they just don't have the specific thing I'm looking for, it's not offered on prime, or the prime has the processing time caveat. I'm going to keep track of it this year and if I would have spent less than $99 dollars in shipping, I won't be renewing.
