I've always wanted to check out Texas Direct Auto and have been told that they are really good, but buying sight unseen just seems crazy.

So if I give them the information they ask for when I've requested an "out the door" quote, they're still going to leave fees and shite off?

Happens everyday...esp. if you're from out of town.

I'm just looking to get a quote that I can print out and have in my hand when I walk in.

I'll agree, works great for new car when you email and say something like I'm looking for a grey ford fusion se and all the dealers have the exact same vehicle sitting on their lot.

It does not work as good if your trying to deal on a specific used car that not every dealer has in inventory.

I walked in the door, guy showed me the paperwork and terms we agreed on right away. If it had been different then what we agreed to online I would have walked.

Yep, I had a lady one time asking for a price and I was working in our glorified call center. Long story short, I told the lady I couldn't give her a price over the phone so that the manager in that office would hear it. I promptly went outside near the service area and called her back on my cell to give her the price (had the price list in my hand) and she came and bought the car from me.

Look for a 2013 model brand new if the year doesn't mean that much to you. You will get a whole lot off than a 14 or 15 model

I've been looking and haven't found exactly what I want in a 13. It's been easy to find a 14 like I want.

I am in sales at a dealer in Lafayette. Best deal is to actually walk into a dealership. Quotes online often leave out many fees, and destination charges.

Depends on the place I guess. The online quote I received was exactly the same as what I signed for. No extra fees whatsoever. I there had been I was prepared to walk.

My favorite line ever was this sales guy that said... "Are you really going to walk out the door over $500?"

I said "Are you really going to let me walk out the door over $500?"

I have boat a boat, jets ski's, 2 dump trucks, and my last car on ebay. Dealers use ebay and if you are open to where you buy you can find some good deals. Good luck

I'll walk out over 20. I'm nowhere near in a hurry to buy something.

they have good service and most business care too much about their brand recognition to give bad service. Sure you can't make everyone happy but with equifax and carfax and lemon laws. Buying before driving is fairly low risk. Just do your homework first. I never drove my 550i before I bought it and haven't had a problem in 3 years...

I've emailed 3 dealerships and 2 have responded in 5 minutes. Neither has called me. Seems too good to be true

they have to respond in a certain time or their manufacture cuts out incentives and hold backs. A lot of money to be made for the dealerships from the manufacture when it comes to CSI. (customer service index)
