Women care more about gifts than men. It sounds to me like most Father's would just enjoy some time alone.

That's part of it, but it's mostly because the wife and kids buy gifts with our money anyways, so it's not really a gift.

years ago my old lady gave me a beautiful Gibson ES335 for Christmas that she got from a friend who got it in an estate sale, after I opened it and started messing around with it she says "oh btw, you owe Tom $1500"
