That was how I did it with Progressive and never had a problem. Foolish me decided to shop around renewal time and found this loser.

He said it was a check that was cashed. If something were to happen in the meantime, the agent's E&O would step into the shoes of the carrier.

fairly new outfit in hammond. I know the guy a little bit there but haven't dealt with them much.

I called broker direct and she wouldn't talk to me. Kept saying I would have to call my agent.

yeah they say that but i would still make it a point that they know the agent fricked up.

Agent just called and said since there is a broker between him and the underwriter, he is not liable for late payment WTF?

You pay agent down payment
Finance company pays agency monies for policy
Agent pays broker minus their commission
broker pays actual insurance company for policy.
