So you’re one of those people who thinks “lower inflation” means lower prices?

Year over year if the prices rise you have inflation. The price only goes down if you have deflation.

So then why did you ask why your grocery bill is higher than ever?
If things are working as intended, your grocery bill will ALWAYS be higher than ever.

at what rate increase are we permitted to complain about JK?

Our masters at the Fed will tell you that you should expect to see 2% of the value of your money evaporate every year, and that that is a good thing. So I guess they would say anything appreciably higher than that?

Biden made a particularly idiotic statement recently, claiming now that “inflation was falling” it was “price gouging” if companies didn’t lower the price of goods. If inflation is falling, prices are still going up, albeit a bit slower than before, jackass.

No clue, but probably not. I try not to follow the media outrage machine.

I don't see how they can unless it is purely politically motivated
Ideally they’d keep raising them. People’s poor choices need to be exposed and reset.

This is politically driven spite. Inflation is a lagging indicator. With the rate of inflation moving in the right direction, there’s no reason not to keep rates where they are and see what the full effect is. If inflation starts rising or stagnates, we can talk about more rate increases.

so you don’t care if inflation is over 2%…

Yes, because that can be reasonably construed from my previous several posts on this thread…
Sometimes you manage to be reasonable for a few minutes, but you always seem to follow it up with some mindless drivel like this

well, one can easily draw a line between 2 dots. The media clearly ignores the inflation year over year for the last several years (for reasons). And Josh, seems to not conveniently notice that….so, the safe assumption being

You can complain whenever you want. I’m not your dad.
The grocery bill is always going to be higher. We have only had a few instances in modern history where the grocery bill went down year over year. Those weren’t what any normal person would call “good times”.
Then again you come off like a miserable count in most threads so maybe you’d be happy if things got even shittier.

i’d be happier if miserable tryhards weren’t disingenuous about the reality for most of americans. fyi, you keep doing this thing, believing I value your self-inflated opinion. it’s a waste of time.

Your assumption is nonsensical and asinine. My posts for the last two pages have been overtly hostile to both the Fed and inflation as a theft of earned value. One has to be trolling or willfully blind to construe my reply saying that I don’t follow the media outrage machine, so I have no idea what their reaction was to Biden’s idiotic statement, to mean that I’m somehow in favor of the Fed’s inflationary monetary policy.

hmm. after reviewing the evidence, i retract my previous statement.
