I love misplaced modifiers. I can't believe that rapist had the nerve to break into a prison and then face an angry mob.

Agree. Let him have a trial and if guilty, then let them have him.

Not impressed.

Our US ancestors would lynch several people all at the same time for much lesser crimes.

Eh good for the people. India isn't in the same place the US is in where they can afford to have a reliable, transparent justice system be the number 1 priority in all cases.

Rape is really common in India and the law often looks the other way. Sounds like they were sick of it in this town.

The people of India have had enough. Their judicial system is crap.

quote:

Most people in Nagaland are Christian.

Violence against women is widespread in India where a rape is reported on average every 21 minutes. Acid attacks, domestic violence and molestation are also common.

quote:

The Indian government has also asked YouTube to block access to the documentary, claiming that its broadcast violated certain key agreements with the filmmaker.

But the Delhi gang-rape victim's father has called on all countrymen to watch the documentary, which showed his daughter's killer blaming the student for 'being out at night'

He had a trial. He was convicted and sentenced to hang. He was appealing however the outrage came from his comments about the girl and the rape. I'd have to say after reading it I would probably be part of that mob.

The dude they killed wasn't part of the bus attack, though I'm sure the documentary helped incite the situation.
