Tuberculosis mostly affects developing nations. Are you saying that because those nations have terrible outcomes with an illness that we are allowed to be as terrible?

I mean for f's sakes y'all, you're comparing us with the likes of India and Bangladesh. Is that who you think our peers are or should be?

You guys are absolutely pathetic losers.

Let's see 1.5 mil died from TB with zero social distancing and essentially no mask wearing. Meanwhile, we have mask wearing mandated by law across the world in many countries, extreme social distancing, and a partial shut down of the world's economy and we will pass the total TB deaths by the end of December.

Hey kids, if you collect Logical Fallacies, this is a classic. It's called a "red herring," which is to say, injecting a true but irrelevant fact into a debate.

Not for nothing, but kids while learning about red herrings is very important be sure to also avoid partaking in the "the fallacy fallacy," as it can lead to looking ridiculous.

The obvious answer is less than 9,000 US cases in a year. There are plenty of comparable arguments, TB isn't one of them.

because there is a vaccine.

Medical professionals may be able to help me out, but I thought my ex that was an icu nurse had to get one or got tested regularly for it. That was so long ago though.

Americans still die from H1N1.

I think the point trying to be made is that nobody cared about 1.5 million dying from TB but Covid for whatever reason will lead to a world wide shutdown.

Masks were never required to prevent all the flu deaths, TB deaths, common cold deaths, whooping cough deaths...

You know why.

All the mask wearing wankers out there rejoice at the thought of wearing a mask forever.

You're right. The elections in those two countries are far more efficient and reliable than ours.

In 2018, there were more than 10 million cases of active TB which resulted in 1.5 million deaths. This makes it the number one cause of death from an infectious disease.

Per CDC,
quote:

In 2018, the most recent data available, 542 deaths in the United States were attributed to TB. This is an increase from 515 deaths attributed to TB in 2017.

CDC says most US cases people who arrived from other countries

Just curious as to why we decided to treat Covid-19 differently then more deadly diseases with effective vaccinations.

I think you answered your own question....because a vaccine exists tor TB, but one doesnt exist for COVID. Once a COVID vaccine becomes readily available, it will no longer be an issue.

Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a vaccine for tuberculosis (TB) disease. However, it’s effectiveness is poor. For example, BCG is routinely used in Mexico but 30% of Mexicans carry the mycobacterium that causes TB. Almost all of the approximately 500 annual cases in the US can be identified in the illegal alien population.

No TB vaccine is regularly used in the US.

How many of those were wealthy people or white people in general?

Less than 100 white people die in the US annually from TB and it is usually people with AIDS. If TB fatalities were rampant in upper class, educated white America then they'd probably be losing their minds about that, too.

There is statically about a one in 26 million chance per standard deviations outside of the mean that Wisconsin had 93% voter turnout.

That kind of statistical infrequency occurs about once every 70,000 years.

Trust the science- Amiright?

You proved Masks don't work so let's stop pretending they do, and that 1.5M TB is with an available vaccine, and therapeutics.

Luckily, we ended up in the 25,999,999 part of the curve.

A simple Google search could tell you that - if you were remotely interested.

Not to mention, the global lockdowns are going to lead to more TB cases (upwards of 6.3 million more TB cases):

Election year.

China is fixing to get handed the shaft if Trump wins a second term.

China has most countries leaderships in their pocket (see NK, Germany, Italy, and almost every country in Africa)

Trump already fricked them with phase 1 trade deal that has helped us out greatly. Phase 2 rumored to be much worse for them.

Biden has already received millions of dollars from China (possibly billions) and there's ample blackmail material of son doing things with (most likely) chinese children and drugs.

Now do you see why the released this virus? We're seeing the results of mass voter fraud in mail in ballots already.

I mean, we had large Sanatoriums that we put people in exclusively for TB so we isolated them from everyone else.

Waverly Hills here in Louisville opened in 1910 to accommodate TB patients and didn't close until the 60s when streptomycin became available and significantly reduced cases.
