They don't really care. I fly with riffle bullets after Christmas almost every year. Knives too, which have never been found. TSA is useless.

Sounds like you should be saying your prayers. If you got that through, imagine what everyone else is getting through.

TSA is a bunch of clowns.

Buddy of mine that plays on the PGA tour had this happen going to Hawaii a few years back. TSA wasn't gentle.

Did they file a full report? If so you may get a fine in the mail later.

I had a loaded snubby in my bag once. The fine was about a grand, with a huge early payment discount.

I used to carry a metal credit card looking thing with the Bill of Rights printed on it just to make a point.

Then I remembered that much like the front lines of wars, the TSA people aren't the ones making any sort of policy, and probably couldn't care less about the infringements.

I got pulled out of line and searched because I had been doing yoga in the waiting room.

I don't like to get on a plane for a long ride without working out a bit. its awful to just sit for hours and hours.

I don't remember. I certainly didn't have a magazine in the weapon or on my person. They were in my carry on bag. I had no brass, no ammo, and a cleared weapon. It wasn't status they were upset about - they didn't want the magazines on the plane. So I said, "Keep 'em."
