I use my book bag to goto the shooting range from time to time and I thought I checked it all out, I was sadly wrong.

They found a pocket knife and a freaking Bullet. A fricking bullet, in my carry on bag. If I would have had a cavity search I think I would have literally cried out of rage.

I've snuck knives, bullets, etc. onto flights.

The TSA is a bunch of useless baboons.

Forgot a few shotgun shells in mine from an impromptu hunting trip. They were cool about it.

Of course I was flying out of Montana at the time so probably not the first time it has happened up there.

When I was a kid, the TSA found the antique replica toy gun I had bought as a souvenier in my checked luggage, but missed the Swiss Army knife I forgot was in my carryon bag. They are worse than useless

It's easy just to throw my pistols in with my books than shove them in my Rifle Bag.

I thought that Blades <2" (small pocket knives) were legal.

I don't fly very much anymore. The only thing that concerns me is the knife - I tend to follow "Rule #9" but I quadruple check to make sure the knife I keep in my computer bag is out before I do fly.

True story - funny story - and not a TSA story, to be specific - I was flying back from Iraq. In uniform. With a holstered Beretta M9 pistol. The US Navy customs folks wouldn't let me on the charter plane with the empty magazines I forgot to check. I wasn't signed for them so I said, "frick it. Keep them." So I boarded the plane with a pistol, but none of the evil magazines.

Good times...

Had a similar situation a couple days ago. Luckily I took care of it before getting to the airport.

Go buy a range bag jackass. I would have had someone with Shaq size hands cavity search you as a stupid tax.

My question is, do you have brownish skin and a beard?

If not, you need to check your privilege.

Obviously you only got through a TSA cause you are white

Did the same thing last summer. I have one bag that I pretty much use for everything. I guess a few .22 rounds fell out of and I never noticed them. Went through NOLA TSA with flying colors. Tampa on the way home, not so much. Lots of questions, background checks, and a sore butthole later...I was on my flight back to NOLA.
