Yes. I dont support Obama either but I wouldnt pass on the chance to meet the man.

This. I've heard multiple rednecks say they would decline the chance to meet Obama. You realize you meet tons of people every day who are way shittier people than him and probably have political views that you disagree with. You're talking about the motha fricking POTUS. Why would you not want to meet him? Hell I would have a conversation with hitler if I could

I've made two trips to be in Papal Audiences in North America, one for each of the previous two Popes of my lifetime.

I was actually planning on going to Philly on Sunday after the Syracuse game, but the logistics of the afternoon Mass are too challenging to make it happen.

Francis does speak English but its not his first language...most of the public events this week he'll speak in his native Spanish.

Yes, indeed.
Sang in TWO choirs back in September, 1987, one of the four greatest days of my life.

Meeting somebody just for the sake of saying I met somebody isn’t something I really care about so with that said, I would agree with the above. If it was to actually have conversation, then yes I would. But for the sake of just saying I met him then no I wouldn’t.
As far as the president, and this goes for pretty much any nationally elected official, I don’t think they would want to hear what I had to say so no I would not.

Hmmm.

Now maybe you have a special vocabulary, but meet =/= worship.
