Back in 1589 most people showered about once a year and everyone had syphilis. Enjoy the stinky women.

Guaranteed to be healthy? If I was well off, prob 1920's Paris, between the world wars - good music, good literature, moral laissez faire - still with some modern conveniences.

Rural south.

If you were poor, most everybody was poor so no one cared.
Didn't have BS political correctness we have today. Great public schools and small town community pride.
No cell phones.
No social media
No hipsters
No black lives matter
No SJW
No homos

Just good God fearing people, minding their own business, living life.
Greatest generation they say.

I actually recommend visiting there and Belarus if you're adventurous and have some cash. $10-$20 can get you 2 mercenary soldier "body guards" carrying AUGs for a night on the town, they'll let you shoot artillery rounds along that disputed border near the Ukraine border that they think is theirs or something, the mafia usually will leave you alone since you're bringing $ into the area and even they will take payment if you're drunk and say the wrong thing. All the girls look good and are for sale. Countryside is hilly, there's relaxing small towns all over full of the nicest people I've ever met (albeit poor), and it has a bunch of random Soviet architecture concrete statues and deserted buildings up on the hill tops. You can just jump out of your SUV and go running up a hillside to this random structure in the woods, spend an hour looking at it, and still have no clue what it was for

Did you seriously make this trip? Was it recent? If so, I'd actually like to talk to you about it. Id like to set up something similar, minus the purchase of women.

This, more or less. I'm 44 now, so I'd probably go back to 1945, just after the Axis surrendered. America was entering into what was, in my opinion, it's greatest era. I'd grow old and be dead- or a nursing-home vegetable- by the time Clinton took office. Perfection.

1970s - I know I sound like "that dad", but we were just way cooler than this generation.

Taking joy rides, drinking beer, smoking a joint while listening to Allman Brothers, Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac. You'd go to the mall to hang out and try and get some pussy.

Now a days, kids dress like fricking imbeciles, listen to idolize douchebags and listen to shitty music (Bieber, Taylor Swift, Kanye), and are just all around fricking tools. I love my kids, but man....some of their friends...they're a bunch of brand dead, imbeciles.

I'd take the early 1920's or so in remote Wyoming, Montana, or the Dakota's. Live off the land, kill your own food, grow your own vegetables. Beautiful scenery and zero stress. I'd build a southern style plantation home, and claim thousands of acres.
