What would you change it to and why?

I majored in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Poli-Sci.

I regret majoring in CJ. Wish I would have went into engineering or majored in Poli-Sci and continued on to Law School.

For the sheer demand and ease to get a job, engineering. You make good money right away. I almost wish I would've went to a trade school though. Commercial plumbers and HVAC guys make a killing.

I'm a civil engineer. Love what I do, but seeing what career big 4 accountants make and get in retirement, I'd consider going that route. My BIL's FIL is a retired partner from a big 4, and his pension is 6 figures yearly. Sure busy season doesn't seem like fun and the actual work seems boring as hell, but it's not too complicated and you make a shite load of money doing it.

You would have regretted the Poli-Sci big time if you tried to transition out of law later on.

I mean it when I say no one should be doing poli sci as some kind of preparation for law school. Do any thing, finance, accounting, computer whatever, but not poli sci.

Econ/finance (dropped) -> Agroecology (big gap) -> Law School

I'd have studied Classics and Information Systems (odd combo, I know) if I could give it another go around.

The Med school route is brutal, absolutely brutal. And seeing some of the salaries paid out for all that work outside of the big money specialties should make you work really hard to make sure you do well and get into those specialties.

i very much enjoy what i do, and the life it has afforded me, but if i were to do it all over again, it'd be either radiology, or i'd go law and be a sports agent...

Pretty difficult to do unless you know somebody (ie I'd say odds are 99% you don't get into it). I do have a friend who ended up hustling his way to working for a organization that reps coaches. So he's currently riding strength coaches and RB coaches, etc up the career ladder.

I'd go back for EE since that's the field I am in now.

Maybe computer science.

I should add, we have two kids, so make sure you finish residency before having kids if you want to see them

im not sure if I would. I would like to have gotten a finance/accounting degree but I would have gotten bad grades and I managed to make it into finance/accounting without those degrees

Yikes.

I have friends who are a lawyer and med resident in a big time program. I'm pretty sure they will stay married forever because they aren't around each other enough to cause any problems
