I never said they wouldn't.

I just think it's funny that so many people want California to drop off into the Pacific while reading Drudge on their iPad.

Stop watching fox news. Full Socialism and Fascism? do you realize those were in conflict with each other in the past century's paradigm?

Look how crappy this state is run now. Now imagine it without all the subsidies from the feds.

The ONLY thing that could save it would be the o&g revenues. That's IF oil goes back up and/or the US hasn't taken it by military force.

Regardless, I'd be GTFO asap.

my allegiance would be to my home...as it was with my ancestors in the 1860's..they werent rich land barron plantation owners...they were the salt of the earth but were defending the soil they lived on from invasion...if there were secession votes that led to a majority supporting it...and the US marched in to "put down the rebellion"...i would stand and fight for my soil and my family...kind of the same thing that happened last time imho...

My great-great-great-grandfather from Virginia fought for the Confederacy. Another great-great-great-grandfather from Pennsylvania fought for the Union.

It'll be a toss-up I guess.

it's highly unlikely that I'd support the USA in any kind of military action against its own people.

this is why i would side with secession if my state were choosing it in a majority wins vote on the matter...in the War of Northern Aggression, the southern states made their decision...they had also ratified the Constitution meaning it couldn't go forward without their approval...how then are they locked into it?...they should be able to leave just as freely as they joined...
