If GRRM dies before finishing the series, who should finish the books?

My nomination is Bryan Herbert and Kevin J. ANderson. Experienced scifi writers and they have taken over a franchise before. They know how to get it done.

Nobody.

I hate when they pass characters off to another author. Clancy did this and the books have been poor imitations at best.

Thanks. I'm flattered, but not fit to shine the fat man's codpiece.

Nice troll.

In reality nobody. I think martin has said that he doesn't want anybody finishing it. He probably has put measures in place to prevent it. If he dies then at least we have the tv series.

There is no book board. The off topic board is the correct board.

They won't be finished. The show will give the ending and book readers will just have to accept it unfortunately.

No clue why people say Sanderson. he is a devout Mormon who has some issues portraying sex scenes and a of darker aspects of his worlds. He would be an awful tonal fit for ASOAF, though he did will with WoT.

If I had my pick I would probably go for Anthony Ryan (and hope he doesn't shite the bed like QoF), Brian McClellan, or Michael J. Sullivan. Brent Weeks maybe could do it justice too.
