Then do that. Why are you so concerned with the lives of others? Do what makes you happy.

Won't your children be little bastards if you don't marry?

Yeah, but it's the reception afterward that's the father-in-law killer.

This is the arrangement I am in now. It has many perks, and we are happy together, we love each other and take care of our kids.

That being said, I was put under enormous pressure from my family, mom & dad etc, to get married. When it became clear that I wasn't going to do that the family began to look down on us. If you can deal with that, and society in general, looking at you as a sinner, you are good. I love my family, but in the end, frick their fricked up beliefs which turns them into judgemental assholes.

Don't want your children to have the same last name as their mommy and daddy... Next thing you know they are sociology PhD candidates studying gender normative queer theory while getting double teamed by a tranny and a pansexual in the parking lot of olive garden

Taxes

We have 4 children and it has been beneficial for us to file separately.

Insurance

My wife's (I call her wife) insurance covers the entire family, while i pay single. It's a 64$ a month hit after everything is said and done. The tax benefits far outweigh it.

Children

Our children are very happy. They understand that love is what makes a family, not a contract.

Retirement

How does this affect retirement?

Commitement

4 Kids and a 30-year Mortgage ensure a commitment much stronger than a priest praying over us, I guarantee it.
