People born between the years of 1988 and 1992 were born in the best five year range in the history of earth.

I'm an Gen X guy myself...sure, its a great generation, but we had our problems.
I do think the Xers were the most materialistic of all and also focused a bit less on family compared to the boomers...so in that sense I do see why Gen Y and beyond don't have that same emphasis on 'making money' and working hard. Yes Xers were worked way too hard to make money, but that work ethic was admirable and may have been lost on the current generation.
Gen Yers generally don't care about it as much, they really do think its worth the time to smell the roses and enjoy life a bit. Not all of course. Having said that, give the kids a chance, they might surprise you. Who knows, maybe they'll be better in creative fields.

There is one Gen Y trait that annoys me, HIPSTERS. What does that even mean.

Im not reading all the pages, but most of your advantages by Generation X are due to the ages of its members. One Day, we will be older like the Boomers and Generation Y will be able to recall xyz and be able to adapt to whatever is new. Nice troll.

The big advantage is that group that was born in the mid to late 70's and 80s. They're old enough to remember what it was like without technology and young enough to be in the middle of the biggest technology boom in this nation's history.

Baby Boomers should change their collective name to the Whinny Bitches. As a group they are worthless, lazy and entitled. They utterly refuse to die and will probably be the first humans to have more surgeries and artificial parts implanted in them than all previous generations combined.

I think we are saying the same thing. Im just thinking that the technological changes wont slow down and will leave some of us in the dust.
I can see your point, or what i think is your point, in that we have the ability to deal with technology better that Boomers did because we were young enough to care about it. Thus, we may be less likely to be left behind. Still, with age comes not caring to change from what ive seen. We shall see. Ill be changing, but i feel like most of my contemporaries where im from wont be doing so as much.

Not only that but they're one of the most unhealthy generations too. They're going to wreck medicare.

There's still some WW2 generation around. Those were some tough mofo's.

Yeah looking back on just my 33 years it really is amazing the leaps technology took. Went from getting a microwave and vhs player to touch screens and hand held computers. Witnessed the birth of the cell phone.

I'm 35 and feel the same way. The biggest thing to happen in the last 50 years, maybe longer, is the internet. There are still people in the Baby Boomer generation that have never been on the internet. I don't think that's the case for Gen X.

yeah, i think it's:
'46-65= Boomers
'66-85=Gen X
'46-65= Boomers
'66-85=Gen X

I was born in 85, but consider myself a Generation Xer. My little brother is 5 years younger than me and is the poster child for Generation Y. It's like you can almost see the generation line.
I think your blurb summed it up nicely. We understand technology much better than Baby Boomers, yet we could absolutely survive in a Post Apocalyptical world
well put
