A squatted truck is the redneck equivalent to this:

Gotta make those truck nuts scrape the ground.

Any modification at all to a vehicle from the factory is complete trash. Also, congrats on voiding your warranty.

I have a cousin who has a truck like that. He’s like 25 and a welder in Prairieville. Posts a ton of pictures of his truck jacked up with lights underneath and whatnot.
Also has a huge intake pipe on his 4-wheeler and loves to post videos of him and his friends, with girls (!), driving the 4-wheelers through water up above the handlebars.
Definitely not something I grew up around but he’s a good kid and seems to be staying out of trouble with it all.
It's a weird phenomonon. Usually the parents are upper middle class and seem to function well. My neighbor's son is an only child and has driven one since HS. Dropped out of LSU and attends BRCC now. There's hope for him because he seems like a good kid but I will never understand why some baws can't be content with a basic truck?

Makes sense- spoiled city boys with trucks that they don't know how to use
Posted on 4/10/24 at 2:24 pm to Z Cavaricci
Actually they don’t because 99% of these trucks do not have catalytic converters or mufflers. Most are straight piped.

Mine wants to raise his and called the squat gay.

I own lifted trucks. I own lowered trucks. I’ve been told it’s stupid, ruined a good truck, ect. But for the life of me I can’t understand why a squatted truck is “cool”. Mostly from a safety standpoint.

I can hear Youngboy blaring out the speakers just from looking at that pic

When I bought my son his first truck, it was used. It was a full size two-wheel drive. I told him he can put a system in it if he wants, he can tint the windows but if he gets a ticket that's on him, I told him he can level it. I explained to him there's no reason to lift it and add oversized mud grip tires because it is two wheel drive and that is stupid. I told him under no circumstances are you to squat it and put lights underneath it. And now he drives it to the deer camp, hauls around corn and his four wheeler. He likes to hunt and fish and he listens to Merle Haggard and old solid gold country. I don't think I've done too bad

but in the 60's and 70's guys with hot rods had the rear end jacked up and had wider tires on the back too.
That at least served a purpose for air resistance and traction for drag racing. Squatted trucks serve no mechanical function or advantage
