He wasn't my husky, it was my first dog I had ever gotten. It really sucks, I still remember the day I got him 17 years ago. I didn't get to go to the Vet with my mom, because you know I'm not home and all. This just sucks. He was a Dachshund, I'll him for sure, it'll be weird not seeing him when I get home this weekend.

I know csb

17 years is a long time to have him, that's a gift. Sorry for your loss.

Yeah I know that's why I'm not totally broken up about it because he lived a really long. Plus I'm in class, so I can't really show any emotion

That's a lot of time for great long lasting memories. You never forget your dogs. Sounds like you and your buddy had a great run.

Sucks incredibly, but 17 years is like 80-90 human years. I'm sure he was grateful for the long life you and your family were able to provide for him

So sorry about losing your pup.

We had to put our dachshund down 3 months ago (he was 10..we still have our 17 yr old doxie) bc he had an adrenal gland tumor that had gotten to the point where he was in severe pain even with dilaudid. I still cry over losing him.

You'll definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. It's an absolutely heartbreaking loss.
