I knew what you were implying. And you're welcome to try. And to cyclist out on river road i give them the entire lane because that's where they should be. The frickstick peddling his arse down Stanford Ave at 5pm won't get but inches of room.

If you don't respect your own life enough to realize that riding your bike in the middle of a busy arse thoroughfare or main road is a bad idea, then why should I care to inconvenience myself to give you a buffer? Why should I get closer to oncoming traffic for you?

If I walk into a jungle is it the animals that put me in an unsafe position? Or am I the one who put myself in this position by putting myself in the jungle?

Oh there's no doubt that wealthier areas are much kinder to cyclists. Even if they are a little more developed. Just another hing to dhow that the attitude against cyclists is a sign of lack of intelligence.

Now there's a real frick you mentality.

Most of us passing you aren't pissed because your on a bicycle; we're pissed because you're holding up traffic. If I was fighting my way across Baton Rouge to get somewhere, driving down a road marked 45 mph, and got stuck behind someone doing 15 mph, I'm going to be pissed. I'm going to honk my horn, I'm going to curse you out when I finally get to pass you. I couldn't give a shite if you're on a bike or in a fricking Buick. You're causing traffic problems.

Furthermore, it doesn't help your case that you claim you have the same rights to the road as me, but don't have to pay registration fees, don't have to pay inspection cost, don't have to carry insurance, and most importantly don't obey the fricking traffic laws like the rest of us! Can't tell you how many times I've been driving to/from/around LSU and been stuck behind some cyclists when we've come to a red light, only to see the cyclists blast through the red light or go up on the sidewalk to get in front of the eight cars waiting at the light.

I think almost no one would have a problem "sharing the road" with y'all if you'd follow the same rules the rest of us do and stop impeding traffic.

It's a safety issue to ride your bike on the sidewalk with the tens of people walking 9mph slower than you, but it's not an issue riding in the road with the thousands of cars going 50mph faster than you?

Whoever made it a law that bikes must ride on the road obviously didn't drive

I like to ride a bike but realize who wins the car vs bike battle so I avoid the road as much as possible

there is nearly a 100% chance you have never, and will never pull your gun out. I find you people so comical. I always chime in the cyclist bashing threads because the best of the best come out behind their keyboards. Last year I never logged a single mile on a highway that didn't have bike lanes, but you people are just too easy to not get a rise out of.

Congrats on coming up with a screen name that fully describes your mentality.

If somebody sideswipes me on my bike, then stops and approaches me to finish their thoughts - 9mm in the chest. frick 'em.

And yes, I have drawn my weapon on someone.

Bike lanes are awesome. They keep bicyclists out of the actual driving lanes. When there aren't bike lanes, they should be on the sidewalk

I didn't realize you were saying you were on the bike. Still really funny.
