I've never understood the category of "black food"
Everyone eats fried chicken and watermelon, most everyone in the south eats cornbread.

I can dig both, but I'm a fan of the plain stuff. The kids in elementary school who poured milk on their cornbread weirded me out.

See my previous post. Most staples of soul food were actually originated by slaves. Not sure this applies to fried chicken, though.

I'm white as can be, born and raised in Arizona. But fried chicken is like my crack cocaine. When I take that first bite out of a nice juicy fried chicken thigh I'm like....
