You should try New York, China, or India.

I blame the State for not putting a single detour procedures in place 4 hours after the wreck. To get people off the interstate before the point of no exits. How hard would it have been to place troopers at the I-59 exits to reroute people off the interstate?

What's sad is there are millions of dollars spent on a state run program to manage traffic, such as situations like this. Thier extent of knowledge on managing traffic goes only as far as sending a traffic tweet and posting drive sober or get pulled over on the message boards. Your taxe dollars at work folks.

A trucker dies in an accident he didn't start, and you're whining about traffic. Grow a set, Sally.

Saw online they haven't found the driver's body yet

WAFB is reporting divers recovered the body of the truck driver. Also said another 18-wheeler & some other vehicle were involved, but only had minor injuries.

Still early though, they could have it wrong.

They showed a pic of the truck in the river, RIP to the driver. Had to double take and make sure it didn't have my company's logo on the truck.

how does one pull a hit and run with an 18 wheeler at 70+ mph and have so little damage that they can drive away without being caught?

You could always take hwy 90 if the traffic is bad. Look on your map app and take the exit, hell two, before it gets bad.

I took highway 90 in this morning. It took me about 90 minutes to go from BSL to Mandeville. I took a couple back roads to avoid spots that my phone told me to

State Police said authorities arrested a Mississippi man for causing a deadly wreck on I-10 West Tuesday evening on I-10 and then fleeing the scene. Troopers said 25-year-old Daniel Alex Coy of Gulfport was taken into custody Thursday in Harrison County, Miss. and is awaiting extradition back to Louisiana. State Police said around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday Coy was driving a pickup west on I-10 behind two 18-wheelers near the Louisiana-Mississippi state line. Troopers said Coy tried to pass one of the big rigs on the right shoulder of the interstate, but had to swerve back onto the road to avoid hitting a bridge overpass guardrail. Troopers said Coy's pickup hit one of the 18-wheelers, which in turn crashed into the second truck. LSP investigators said the second truck, driven by Steven Clark of Theodore, Ala., was pushed through a cement barrier and crashed into the Pearl River below the interstate. Clark died in the wreck and his remains were later recovered by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office dive team. Troopers said Coy fled the scene west on I-10 toward Slidell.
