I got my boots shined by a black man yesterday

At a new place called Barbers on Broad. My boots were in pretty rough shape. When I walked in, the black gentleman greeted me with a big smile and told me to hop up on the chair. It took about 15 minutes for the man to work his magic on my boots. We had a great conversation about the word of god and how we were both so thankful for our jobs.
We briefly touched on the current turmoil and I believe our interaction and conversation proved that the majority of people share a similar view point.

Agreed. Battery died yesterday and I got a jump from a black cop. Really cool dude. Lay off the news folks.

I also talked to a black guy yesterday. I work with him. If we can talk, anyone can. All is good in the world.

I ordered a #1 meal at Krystal's from a black lady today; she smiled and was friendly and so was I....which is unusual bc normally I'm an a-hole

This is the same as “but I have a black friend.”
People can be nice and cordial with each other but it shouldn’t discount the injustices one race continually faces that the other doesn’t.

And before you "go on" here's some numbers you need to look at (I borrowed this from a Poli Board thread):

The numbers are only out of whack (compared to the population makeup) in murder, suspicion and gambling (who knew). White people do most of the crime and are arrested for most of the crimes (because of population numbers). Black people commit murder, suspicion (what exactly is that?) and gambling offenses (still who knew?) disproportionately to other races but it isn't because of population. What's the cause here? I don't know the answer to that. Blacks make up 33% of fatal shooting victims. But who is doing the shootings? Well according to the murder numbers 53.1% is done by blacks even though they only make up 13% of the population.

I have many black friends.
One just left my house. He came over because he needed help on a project.
I asked if I could wash his feet.

We laughed, had a beer together.
I’m going to pass by his house later to pick up a plate. He’s a good cook.
