The last thing I would want when out and about or going to class is a big hunk of clanky stainless steel (or whatever it is).

Does your water really need to be super ice cold? What happened to using a water fountain or some good ole Aquafina? Before long spending childhood drinking out of a water hose won't even be a thing

I like tumblr. You can find pics for just about anything on there.

How small are your hands that you consider a tumbler big

I won't apologize for keeping my vodka tonic ice cold

There really isn't much to understand, do thermos' and coffee cups confuse you as well?

It keeps my coffee hot for hours instead of it being cold after 30 minutes.

in the summer, it matters.

you can't always get drinking water you can trust.

you can't always get drinking water at all.

your hose issue is another matter.
in my town, the water out of the hose contains hexavalent chromium, the same as Erin Brockovich railed against in So CAL. Im in Nor Cal, in a rural mountain golf-centric town.
Its going to cost the town 3/4 million for a proper system to take out the hexavalent chromium. They can't afford it because our directors spent that money on golf equipment. new carts. new shed. blah blah. golf.

I don't walk around with mine I don't really find it good for that either. I usually just keep it in the truck or bedside. Only have to get ice once a day. Very useful.

I drink coffee on the way to the gym. Most times I can't finish the coffee before I get to gym, so it's nice for my coffee to still be hot when I get out of gym

Like you said, it's a trend, a fad.

Just carry a Dasani. It doesn't matter.

It's not that big of a glass.

If you can keep your ice water super cold until you're finished with it why wouldn't you? I don't need a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the convenience.

Go to any kids outdoor event in the suburbs. Every family has about 3 of them

We all know the mom is sipping her vodka cranberry in that thing

I enjoy coming back to my Rtic cup after an hour and the water is still cold when it's been sitting in my vehicle.

Got mine as a present and use it everyday

Tumblers, sport bottles, all of them are just grown-up sippy cups. Look at me, I drink water!

Because they filled it with ice first thing in the morning, and it's still in there.

I understand it. Spending a $1+ on water bottles from a machine daily adds up.
