I-10 West to Laplace - AVOID

Big accident by the 55 off ramp. Every 1st responder in the area is there. Looks very bad. Try to avoid th spillway area

Not good. Wasn't this close to the same area a drunk driver went the wrong way from 310 and killed a few people a year or so ago?

I think that was on 55 itself. You have to be really drunk to drive the wrongway on 55

The deputy, whom Tregre declined to identify until family was notified of his injuries, was bumped and bruised, but his injuries weren’t serious, Tregre said. Matey described the injuries as "moderate."
“He’s gonna be alright,” Tregre told WWL-TV. “He will live.”
The driver of the car that hit the deputy was also treated for minor injuries at a St. John hospital and will be tested for DWI, Tregre said.
Bumps and bruises and still airlifted? Nice perk. Glad everyone seems to be okay.

So if the cop hadnt stopped somebody for speeding this could have been avoided.
