Right here

Tell me how that statement above is incorrect. Are you saying every homicide is a crime? That would make you the frightening judge

I don't know lp87 or have a dog in the fight with the situation but in this case, I think he's right.

There is no think about it. Just because someone kills another human does not mean a crime was committed. I can’t believe he can’t grasp that

I know you are trying to be snarky, but I feel confident the OT stereotypes 26 year old white people from the Westbank with full sleeve tattoos into a cultcha bucket just as much as any black ghetto person

Absolutely. Some of them could get after it, too.

And you would make a good judge?

"Someone died?!? We must charge someone with murder! Guilty!"

Also, are you under the impression that the judge is the one who comes up with the charges, prosecutes the defendant, and makes the decision on guilt/innocence?

If there was substantial time, why would the arresting report not make sure to cite that? Usually they only leave out important info like that if it isn’t helpful for the arrest, correct?

That part of my inference is based on this:

quote:

A little while later, three guys are seen walking around with Matthew Marsiglia, the suspect arrested in connection to Repath’s death.

This is part of the Kiran article posted today and is the source for the uncited posts from earlier.

Kiran

She implies the above quote is from the arresting documents but her syntax is technically abiguous.

The taxpayers pay for civil court too.

The majority of my college friends were blue jays - many of them to this day have never been in a fight……

Everyone from my 2 schools okay 3 had been in a fight before college

Why is a 26 year old father of two getting into a fight in a college bar with fratstars??

I’m sorry he died and my heart goes out to his children, but why put yourself in this situation?

There are a bunch of clowns in here. Whatever happened, one life was taken and one ruined and then there are the families who suffer because of it.

I am curious as to how the guy fell down and hit his head so hard it killed him? Hit the wrong spot of his head?

Most of the internet fights you see are dudes getting KTFO from bouncing their head on concrete and the fist. It's dumb and dangerous to fight on concrete. I've done it but still stand by my statement. Sorry for the families involved. Sadly, both were probably decent dude prior to getting drunk. This is why I'm for legalizing weed. If you are a mean drunk or pothead, maybe try the other.

didn't read the affidavit or watch the video but Marsig does not want this to go to a jury tria

Lol, yes he does. He just needs one person on the jury out of 12 to have an IQ above 50. Just wait til the deceased’s BAC is made public.

I’m just seeing you haven’t even read the affidavit. Good grief man. Read it then post.

I apparently don’t see what many posters are seeing but this is what catches my eye:
quote:

A little while later, three guys are seen walking around with Matthew Marsiglia, the suspect arrested in connection to Repath’s death. Arresting documents continue to say, “Repath is then seen backing out of the bar while exchanging words with (Redacted name) and Marsiglia. Repath backs up into the parking lot and about halfway into the parking lot, Repath stops and attempts to hit Marsiglia. Marsiglia ducks and is not hit. Repath then backs up several steps and Marsiglia then takes both hands and shoves Repath by the shoulders

That’s a lot of verbiage indicating the deceased backing away.

But ultimately, I don’t care about the legal arguments here. There’s too much unknown or unsubstantiated. It’s a damn shame all around and stupid tragedy that could have and should have been avoided.

i am not inclined to believe he was trying to deescalate since repath already sucker punched someone.

Backing out of a bar while exchanging words isn't necessarily "backing away". More likely talking shite
