Very trashy. And the whole orange skin glow is rather unattractive.

Yep, because that's exactly what I said.

Not Apples and Apples. Tanning beds make you tan like the sun does. Spray on beds make you orange and that shite stains your clothes.

And you don't get the "orange" look unless you use spray tan.

Actually, you only get orange from Mystic.

Having a personal airbrushing session looks great.

As for tanning beds, I used to think it was super relaxing and nice to do, but I'm terrified of skin cancer so I either remain white or do airbrushing.

Your crusade against "is this trashy" threads hasn't gone unnoticed. You're losing, but the effort is admirable.

I see nothing wrong with going for a few sessions at the beginning of the summer to get a base so you don't blister when you get out in the sun. Getting a sunburn where you peel is way worse for you than a few times in a tanning bed.

Yeah you sound like someone who owns a tanning salon

They are bad for you, end of story.

Don't want to blister when you get out in the sun...it's called sunscreen. Use an appropriate spf; reapply often.

I don't think it is up for debate that they are bad for you. My point is going a few times to develop a base tan is not nearly as bad as getting a sunburn. With the tanning bed you have a little control as far as how much you get. In the sun it is a lot harder to get a base tan without burning.

One that spends time in the sun and doesn't want to get burned if they forgot sunscreen???

Base tan is a bad choice of wording, but I know some guys that'll go and get a few sessions in before spending a weekend in the sun. They say it keeps them from burning, but isn't really long enough to darken the skin.
