It doesn't matter how many times I call or email the advocate headquarters they won't stop throwing teaser papers in my yard. While I applaud their ability to throw their advertisements in the wettest part of the yard I would like them to stop. Last
time I called to ask them to stop the actually told me they have no idea where the teasers are thrown so they can't stop them. Apparently the Advocate operates their advertising department like its a rogue hit man. Anyone have suggestions on how to get them to stop?

save up about 100 of them, then go dump them on their office desk.

I ambush the delivery people on the reg and it doesn't help. Is there any way to stop the advocate from pasting my yard with garbage?

I don't think there is shite you can do. I've screamed and the thrower several times and even call the advocate. It's such a waste to. I pick it up and put it directly in the trash when I bring the sunday trash out

Wait for the delivery driver to come up, stop him in front of his car and threaten to kill his whole family if he drops any more papers on your lawn. Or you can just give him 20 dollars and say there's more where this came from if you make sure no more paper gets tossed on my lawn.

I've set an alarm to call the advocate everyday and complain . Join the resistance. Don't allow them to violate you everyday. I didn't spend a year getting shot at by the Taliban to have the advocate throw trash in my yard!!!!

I have gone as far as going to the HQ offices--to no avail.

When you make a case of it and video numerous times and keep records of your calls and emails to stop it, and then spend money to file a suit, things may change. As of now, they don't care if they anger you--you are not and will not be a customer.

Or you can call Bill Capo at WWL TV...

It's strange because I've lived in Europe, Southeast Asia, and multiple U.S. states. No newspaper has ever done this before. Is the Advocate targeting me for some kind of punishment???

honestly, there are a lot of things in life that are worth getting pissed over...getting a free newspaper thrown in your yard is not really one of those things...

do yourself a favor, sit back and relax while you read your newspaper...

You have so much anger over a free newspaper.

frick that. They throw this shite on my driveway every weekend. This is littering. If I wanted their newspaper I would pay for it.

Not only that, it's basically a sign in your driveway that you're out of town when they sit there for days.

Was just talking about this today. HOA president emailed them to no avail.
They're not welcome. Should be against the law to litter like that.

You are close to the answer, grasshopper. Which is: don't complain to the paper, but instead complain to the poor uninformed businesses who are paying for this waste of dead trees to advertise in this litter generator.

Always. Follow. The. Money.

According to a lot of idiots on this board, since the delivery person is encroaching on your property, albeit through a thrown newspaper, you have the right to basically straight up murder him/her without repercussion.

Spankum is clearly an Advocate pawn pretending like the advertisement trash they fling into people's yard is a newspaper. Spankum, please contact your Advocate overlords and have them stop throwing unwanted advertisements in my yard.

They must be stopped! I'm laughing but seriously let's puts some pressure on the advocate to stop throwing garbage in our yards. Everybody knows the need to save money anyway.

If everyone who got one dropped it in the mail addressed to the advocate headquarters, that would be awesome.

Everyday they'd received dozens of papers back to them.
