I am so pissed right now. Went and bought some new high dollar work clothes and washed them with some other work clothes i had. Went to get them out the dryer and realized a pen busted in the dryer. Both shirts had ink smeared all over it, also another button down and a pair of pants had ink on them. I dropped them off at keans, hoping they can get it out. If they can't get the ink are there other things to try? Anyone got any home remedies? We are talking close to $400 worth of work clothes.

You can try soaking them in oxiclean if they are white shirts

Should you have been washing your high dollar work clothes like normal clothes? I don't know much about menswear.

I do know that with ink, if you just spill it on you, you are gonna have a better chance of getting it out immediately than if the stain has set, like I would assume would have happened in the dryer.

I'm sorry and good luck.

I recently got a pen ink stain out of a nice shirt with rubbing alcohol. Worked instantly.

Grandmas secret spot remover. I buy it at hobby lobby. Have some now on my dtr's white inform shirt. Be careful it your items are colored just don't move on overnight. Do not out it in dryer until its out. Heat will set the ink.

Eta: oops ... Didn't read the dryer part. Try it all anyway but don't out in the dryer!

Had the stain set or was it like soon after you had spilled it on it?

This stuff works! I had a nasty black oil/grease stain on a maxi dress of mine(it had gotten caught in an airport escalator and left a horrible black grease stain). Didn't get to try and get it out until I returned from my trip. Over a week later and tried grandma's secret spot remover...came right out on the first try.

They are FR clothes not dress wear. And yes I didn't notice until I got out the dryer so the ink set in.

Do you pay attention to women's fashion....last spring that look was really popular with a jean jacket over it.

And the dress I had wasn't like that. Maxi dress is just any long dress.

ETA: And that is much better than the slobs flying in their pajamas.

It had set, didn't try to get it out for a couple of days. But it was just a pen mark, not like an explosion of ink
