Oh, it's not a personal problem for me. I don't have chick friends that aren't married to one of my actual friends.
Think about it, even women with their other women "friends." It's all a comparative thing. All they keep them around for is to boost their own self-image. That's using.
My most recent SO and I had a conversation about this. She used to gush about all of her friends and such. I asked her if there was anyone that she'd do anything for and not expect anything in return. She couldn't answer. I provided a dozen people that I would step in front of a truck for.
