Well, I guess nowadays asking for a number is essentially asking for a date. Back in the old days we knew almost everyones number cause we had this thing called a telephone book. So, on the surface, your question seems a little lame, but like I said you are for all practical reasons asking her if she would date you. Puts a different spin on it. That being said.....just ask her. Seems like nowadays with all the social media you wouldnt have a problem finding a mutual friend that might take a hint and ask if she might be interested...
