Since it's through friends and shite I'll give you a tip I accidentally pulled on my ex when we first met.
I had my friend give her my number without her knowing and tell her to call me. It just so happened she called me right then as I was on the other side of the tailgate bullshitting with some friends and a couple randos. Well she/mutual friends were watching when the call came through and saw me pull out my phone look and then ignore the call and say "I don't know you" out loud. She was in my bed that evening.
it was unintentional, but worked. I will be using again if the opportunity arises.

I'd skip the whole process. Move on.
Worst case scenario- she recognizes how big of a bitch you are immediately and laughs in your face when you ask.
Best case scenario- She doesn't realize how sackless you are until you're married and have kids. She lives with the regret of living with such a coward for a few years, and you suffer through that process with her. When she inevitably succombs to her desire to be plowed by a real man, she divorces you and takes all your money and children.
It's a lose-lose for you imo
