About 7' outside on patio. Plug and play type. Little one inside.
First year I convinced the wife to ditch the big tree inside. We aren't here for Christmas anyway, so why bother. Enjoy the tree at the relatives we visit.

3'. A live tree. We always had a real big tree, but this year we went with a live one. We never know if we are going to be home for Christmas or not. Two out of the last three, I was in the hospital.
