I'm mostly retired now and have a lot of flexibility as to what to do with my day. Just thinking though of how much of my life was spent doing things which wasn't really living but simply existing. At the height of my career, out of all the hours in a week, I probably spent less than 3 or 4 hours actually living, actually enjoying life.

How much of a week do you enjoy?

That is not very spiritual.

I live all of my waking moments for a purpose outside of myself.

Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.

Not enough. Work consumes me when I am there, and when I am off. I have been checking emails all day because I can't leave stuff lingering over the weekend and I am at home.

Sometimes I even feel hobbies consume my husband and I lives too the point of annoyance (for me).

I get a lot of satisfaction from working hard at my job, overcoming obstacles, meeting goals, etc. So I'd say quite a lot of my life is living. Figure out how to self motivate and a lot of the work-associated dissatisfaction goes away.

Makes it easier to enjoy home life too.

as for the Livin part.

I wasn't really enjoying my life. Then I told everyone I was going to kill myself, and everyone gave me a bunch of money and gifts for trips and bucket list stuff. And then I decided to keep on L-I-V-I-N instead of killing myself.

So a lot lately.
