How much more awesome would Christmas be without the presents.

If we could just focus all of that time and money spent on shopping for meaningless gifts into extending a helping hand to the less fortunate or helping quality charity organizations and hanging out with family with no strings attached...

I did that this year

Gave all the money I would spend on gifts or local charities to the project digging the Cards Against Humanity hole

It would suck arse for kids. Christmas was magical as a kid. I'm not taking that experience from them.

A whole hell of a lot better. Well, retail wouldn't like it, but the reason I prefer Thanksgiving over Christmas is because there isn't much hassle for Thanksgiving. For Christmas, it seems like some people have so much going on or trying to do stuff last second that they don't enjoy it at all.
