About the same as the Pilot Sport Plus, but I am also not hitting hard corners in the rain either.

That is interesting do you know which tire/compound they were? The softest compounds are usually rather poor in the wet not only due to fewer evacuation channels in that type of tire but it is hard to get the tire up to temp in the wet. In the wet it is almost impossible to get a street tire up to 100 deg and most R compounds don't "switch on" until about 140-150 deg some not until even higher.

Obtuse1---On regular driving, no track, I am getting about 18k miles on the rears and about 34k miles on the fronts with Michelin Pilot Sport Plus

I have about 6k miles on the Pirelli P-Zero's now.

They were Bridgestone Pole Position S04s

add: to be fair, I don't think this is more than a poor man's Michelin PSS, but for my DD that came with crap tires, it was a huge upgrade.

$3k for Cup 2s is some serious rapage for that car. You need to shop around, I ran 245/315 20s on my 997 Turbo S and out the door was a tad under $2000 for Cup 2s, maybe another $100 if you want the N0 compound.

Those are a solid tire, especially for the money. I thought when you said ultra soft you meant like a R compound tire. For a summer tire those do indeed have good wet traction.

I bought some Falken Wildpeak MT 01 tires for my 4runner and in a 265/70/17 size they were around $850 at Discount Tire mounted and balanced.

$1,300
285/60r20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's

Ford dealership charged $99 to mount and balance. Ended up getting the installation for free because they scratched one of my new wheels. They replaced that as well.

Damn, for a car tire?

My AT's on my truck have a 50K warranty and now have over 60K on them. What kind of cheap arse tire are you buying?

You realize truck tires have significantly deeper tread and usually are harder compound than car tires, right? That means they'd last longer.

Regardless, the tires have about 30k on them and still have a substantial amount of life left. Sorry for not dropping $2k on tires for a Prius I forgot we were on the OT.
