I'm the oldest of 4.

I'm 38, brother who is 36, brother who is 30, sister who is 28.

Youngest two are mentally challenged(think like really naïve 14 year olds) and still live with my parents(before someone asks for a pic of my baby sis).

Someone who has 10 kids and pops out another isn't all that surprising.

Like, for real?

I've always wondered how insane it would be in a household of more than 4 or 5. I'm perfectly happy with 1

Very loud, very hectic, and competitive. 4/5 of us are now married with kids and our reunions are still awesome in the same way. I love it

Nothing is sacred and you better be able to take criticism.

You had a few more before I paid your mom to take care of the problem.

Well played.

Not screwed. You just grew up without somebody beside you at all the same events, vacations, family moments etc. That's the best part of having a sibling, having that person at your same level who experienced the same stuff and has the same memories. The quirky shite your parents did. Vacation stuff. That time Grandma lost her shite. My brother and I would laugh for days about that old family stuff in a way only siblings would get.

Well said. My brothers and I keep a group text line and 90% of it is just laughing about funny stuff my Dad says or does.

I think siblings teach important social skills too. You're forced to live with someone different than you under the same authority. You learn to manage relationships, find common ground, learn the world doesn't revolve around you from a very young age.

You can often tell people who were an only child. It's very different.
