I think the better question is where exactly, on that $83k console are you going to drill the holes for the gun mount for your Hi-Point???

That is a terrible looking interior for a sports car. Starting with the auto shifter to the plain steering wheel design to the...everything. Dodge

Drove it and was very disappointed. Audi S6 was more impressive. The radio was bad arse tho.

I hate the brands can't just sell people on the regular car, in this case the GS, it's always got to be some 400+hp thing that no one needs or can use.

You can't even get into the gas for a few seconds at a time in a regular luxury/performance car before you're speeding...but America...500hp because I can. $83k luxury car that you simply can't use for more than 2 seconds at a time. It doesn't add up.

ETA: the linked ratings are hilarious, who buys those magazines?

I don't know what it is, but every Lexus I've driven is so... Disconnected. Or Toyota for that matter. Their cars are all on ice skates. I'd rather a more direct feeling.

I would have never guessed that. It's status, and status only. People buy the F because it's better than their neighbors, end of story.

OK, in your opinion how many times does the average owner of a $90k luxury car go 0-60 in 4 seconds? It's basically a badge that says I'm better than you and that's all it is, all it will ever be. People don't buy the S600 because it's better than the S550 (or whatever the offerings), and the same is true for every single car in this class. 450hp = 370hp = 280 hp in a luxury sedan...unless obviously you're running a track day in it, which let's be honest I'm about to have the entire OT say they run track days in their vehicles.

How would you have never guessed that? Next you're going to tell me you're surprised Ford sells many more 6 cylinder Mustangs than GTs.

Probably a lot based off the people I know with cars like that.

That's is just ignorant, but I'm not surprised you think that way. You're so very strange in your opinions on vehicles.

That's actually exactly why they buy them.

I don't agree with that at all. Neither do most people. You're a really strange guy for claiming to be a car enthusiast. In reality, you seem as enthusiastic about cars as you would a colonoscopy.

I would never pay $85K for a car, but if I did it would likely be a Lexus.

I can't get past the Predator grill. Lexus can still do a very nice interior and their build quality is superb but driving excitment is not in their dna. They need to get serious about driving dynamics if they want to be taken seriously by car enthusiasts. Cadillac has made major inroads and shpuld be a case study on how to get it done.

Yea well, that's just the way it is. I LOVE a well engineered vehicle, and I LOVE interacting with it. I just took the long way home from bringing my son to school and pedaled, to the floor, through the gears a bit. First off, I have Z rated tires and a very well maintained vehicle that absolutely purrs above 6k rpm. I just don't see the room for substantially more enjoyment from one. I just rolling started a 0-60, since I was coming off of a side street, and it was glorious...albeit for only 5 seconds or so. 6500 in first, shift, 6500 in second, shift...speeding by 15 mph. Car sounded amazing, handled amazing on full throttle in the turn...I just don't see what else you get by mounding on 300 more hp. I guess I'm lucky in that I don't want a $90k car. Doesn't mean I don't love the one I have.

If I bought a car that I tracked it would be an old 964 911, a C2 if I could find one. Not some modern 500+hp monstrocity. It's just the way I'm wired.
