That's my first time to hear my phone do that, some unnerving shite at 2:30 am. I had no clue what it was. Where was the tornado actually at?

I think it was Geismar? I live in Prairieville and the wind was pretty wild.

I got up and went and turned on the news to see where it was as I had a lot of kids in my house at the time.

There was no confirmed tornado. They just picked up a couple of areas of circulation that could have easily produced a tornado...but I don't think they actually did.

Wife was freaking out because we watched Twister before bed (it was on A&E)
We had some strong wind gust for a minute but I didn't see any damage
Second time I got the message. Got one this past April/May when Baton Rouge went pitch black for that big storm

I woke up about 20 seconds before the warning on my phone went off. Def heard the "train" noise in Prairieville. Scared the sh!t out of me, but the only damage was that my garbage can was across the street.

Never heard it or even moved a muscle.

I was glad I stayed asleep since nothing happened

Me too. Was considering getting the kids out of bed and bringing them in the bedroom with me and the wife.

Mine was apparently going all night in Cenla. I slept through it.

There were no tornadoes so y'all probably heard an actual train. There were multiple Doppler indicated tornadoes. It was just a strong squall line with high winds.

It's a warning buzzer that sounds pretty ominous. Apparently they can make most cellphones hitting particular towers do it to push out emergency messages.

That was the worst storm I've ever witnessed. A tree crashed through my mom's next door neighbor's roof

So, there was a tornado alert on your phone, you heard the commonly described "freight train" noise and yet allowed your kids to stay in bed?

Father of the year.

That line in April made it look like the end of the world.
