1 murder in 2008. Family. Dad shot kids. One died.

Lots of teen petty theft. Dont leave stuff in car.

Golf resort town in mts. 3500 souls. Northern ca

A lot of old people who are md/lawyers in sacramento. Just here weekends to golf or host grandkids to swim or fish.

Typical criminal here is a fisherman with no license to fish.

I can't find any data on this year but from 2002-2015 we had 6 homicides - Winter Park FL. We're only a few minutes north of Downtown Orlando

Well I consider Baton Rouge my hometown, so a shite ton.

But as for where I live:

28 murders with a population of 667,137.

Thanks!

I found a bunch of sites, but none that had compiled 2017.

So population of roughly 173k, 1 murder this year.

There's always that 1 person who has to ruin it for everyone!

Winter Park is solid, a nice place to live in the Orlando area. I had a lush of a "girlfriend" that made me go to the Wine Room all.the.time back in the day.

I lived downtown in my single days then in Clermont for 1 year in my married days before moving out to Texas.

The Wine Room is part of my almost nightly pilgrimage down Park Ave and on to Fid's & The Porch

To claim that the other cities in the state are going through renaissances while Memphis is stagnant tells me you haven't been here in at least ten years.

Wrong. There's a reason Memphis/Shelby county is dead last in growth among the major metros in Tennessee over the last 6 years according to the latest Census. There's also a reason why Memphis is mentioned in the same breath as Detroit, South Side Chicago and parts of New Orleans.

Growth in the counties in and surrounding the Major metros over the last 6 years:

Davidson County: +57,729 (Nashville)
Rutherford County: +45,647 (Nashville)
Williamson County: 35,852 (Nashville)
Knox County: +23,906 (Knoxville)
Montgomery County: +23,403 (Clarksville)
Hamilton County: +21,275 (Chattanooga)
Wilson County: +18,724 (Nashville)
Shelby County: +6,959 (Memphis)

There's more than one reason why Knox County and Hamilton county (Chatt) nearly quadrupled Shelby county in growth over the last 6 years and Nashville has completely left Memphis in the dust.

Size of TN Metro's:

-Nashville-Davidson--Murfreesboro--Franklin, TN Metro Area: 1,865,298
-Memphis, TN-MS-AR Metro Area: 1,342,842
-Knoxville, TN Metro Area: 868,546
-Chattanooga, TN Metro Area: 551,632
-Kingsport-Bristol-Bristol, TN-VA Metro Area: 306,334
-Clarksville, TN-KY Metro Area: 282,349
-Johnson City, TN Metro Area: 201,661
-Jackson, TN Metro Area: 129,527

Size of SEC Metro areas rounded up/down:

1. Nashville- 1,865,000
2. Knoxville- 869,000
3. Baton Rouge- 835,000
4. Columbia (SC)- 817,00
5. Fayetteville- 525,000
6. Lexington- 507,000
7. Gainesville- 281,700
8. College Station- 254,900
9. Tuscaloosa- 241,400

11. Columbia (MO)- 176,600
12. Auburn- 159,000

Interesting how most SEC schools are in smaller metros.

LSU, Vandy, USC, and UT are actually atypical in that respect, being in comparatively busy towns.
