Curious you should say that. I've smoked a few pounds of weed in my younger years. Even smoked daily for a long time. But never dabbled in cocaine, meth, heroin. I did smoke a joint once laced with coke. It was way different from any high I had ever had from just weed. I felt like Mike Tyson could throw his best shot and I could take it standing up.

You weren't smoking powder. You were smoking dat hard.

I banged 'ron for almost 5 years. I had to leave that trash alone once I found my girlfriend dead with a fricking needle in her arm. Of course she asphyxiated on her vomit. That shite is the devil

I used H for 5, didn't hit rock bottom until I got busted. Because nobody has a problem until they run out right?

I was in the clinic for a year after that, if your on Methadone they say it's worse for the baby for a pregnant woman to quit. I dont know why, I guess the withdrawals they would go through could do some damage to them both.

heroin is the worse because you cant just use it off and on. you have to keep using it and then your not really getting high anymore. you do it to stop being sick.

now days its so potent it kills users 10x faster. back in the day it was stomped on like crazy and now its like %90 pure.

but the pain killers are what moved people to h. they are the gateway drug to heroin.

thats why i dont pop pills f that.

What I meant is that someone who has never battled addiction will never comprehend what it's like to be an addict. Being close to it and seeing the effect is one thing, living with the pain of addiction is another.

Old thread is old, I know. I couldn't resist bumping because now, I am looking for an argument.

I didn't mean anything by it, just stating the fricking facts.

I know what the frick he said.

I've been clean for 19 years this October. I've done just about every drug known to man. Shaking the needle is the worst. You're not just strung out on your drug of choice. The process of shooting up is just as addictive in some ways. There were days where I would shoot ice water just to feel the needle while I was waiting on a fix.

I was in a car with two friends in dental school who smoked weed once - does that count? One friend went to rehab for crack. He smoked crack once and swore he'd never do it again. Then he did it again. The dental school had an advisor, so he went and talked to him about getting help. It was mostly prescription drugs and weed. They allowed him to do an outpatient program. He was kind of pissed that they made him give up everything, including beer. He didn't know that would be part of the deal and it might have changed his mind about getting help if he knew going in. He told me that pretty much any time we hung out, he was doing prescription narcotics. I never had a clue. He never seemed high, and wasn't a heavy drinker when we went out.

Good luck Bro. For me it was just a matter of reaching the point where I hated everything that went with it more than I loved the drugs. I just got tired down to my soul of spending every waking moment either using or thinking of where/how I would get my next fix.

You can do it, you just have to want to do it more than you want to use. You don't have to be who you are. You can be who you want to be.

This is a slippery slope Chef. I got clean off of oxy's years back and leaned on alcohol(never had a problem with before) to help with withdrawls. Next thing I knew I was on a 4 month bender with vodka. I would wake up and take 3 big arse swigs from the bottle and get after it.

When I was about 12 I watched the movie The Basketball Diaries because I liked Leo. Had no idea what it was about. That pretty much scared me out of doing any drug ever.

I went from a full blown junkie to a high functioning alcoholic. Be careful man. I wish I would have done it differently.
