I don't believe that humans have much impact on the earth's climate as a whole. The climate has always changed and always will. Environmentalism is like a religion to the left. It's a huge power grab attempt by the globalists. Also, the hole in the ozone layer that was going to kill us all in the early 80s says hi.

Sunscreen is part of a long list of threats to coral reefs that includes pollution, overfishing and climate change.
From the first article you posted.
I guess you are right that sunscreen is bad for reefs but those articles in no way say that suncreen is the entire cause

How are you qualified to make this assessment?
Same goes for run of the mill liberals who think EVERYTHING is detrimental to the environment. We're a nation of sheep who believe what our respective political parties want us to believe, not what actual science believes.

Climate change is a natural cycle of the earth. No scientist will ever dispute that. However, what is heavily debated and generally agreed upon by almost the entire scientific community is the human factor in the equation.
I side with the scientific community, and it's always a good idea to try to preserve what we have on earth for future generations.

That being said, conservatives have had their heads in the sand on true science for hundreds of years. Galileo was imprisoned for suggesting the earth was not the center of the universe.
The weird thing about that was the Church initially approved of Copernicus's Heliocentric (Earth's not the center) idea but changed their view a few years later.

You are moving the goal post now
Obivously Humans could do a lot better
Sunscreen is one of the many shitty things we are doing

The hole in the ozone was reduced by a massive agreement called the MONTREAL PROTOCOL. Which was agreed upon by 197 countries to reduce or eliminate the use of CFC's ( chlorflorcardons) that pulled a oxygen molecules from the ozone layer. That's didn't just fix itself on its own or just go away. But I guess your smarter then almost every world leader in 1989 that agreed to the Montreal protocal.
The reason republicans don't support climate change is bc chemical company's and other major polluters lobby and cut big checks to republicans to buy their complicity

I'm not a scientist but I've read more than most on the subject from both sides.
The scientists have been caught multiple times fudging the numbers to fit their narrative. "data adjustment" is what they call it. There is, at best, a very weak correlation between CO2 levels and global temperature

Post a link where it proves scientists have " fudged their number". Just one link is all I ask

All these climate change studies tying the event to human behavior absolutely drive me nuts. Humans and much later combustion engines and industrialization have been on this planet for the tiniest fraction of the earths existence. It's warmed and cooled 100s, maybe 1000s of times before us and will continue to do so. Anyone trying to say we have any significant impact on the climate is either a tree hugging nutcase, an academic begging for grant money, or a politician looking for another way to tax us to death.

Instead of Paris agreement countries should set a standard and refuse trade with those that dont meet it aka China

Another unqualified person making absolute statements on science. Thanks for proving my point.

The great barrier reef is done. It's over.

Yes, but what most people don't understand is that a scientific study doesn't have to be based in truth. With a little grant money, anyone can start a scientific study on anything. I could start a study on whether frogs prefer white beans over red beans. Problem is, with the internet and social media, people see "scientific study" and automatically believe it's either fact or an attack on conservative beliefs.
Funding agencies have very specific requirements for who is eligible for money.
You can't simply apply and receive money for stuff. Proposals are written. Of which you must highlight what is already known about a subject, and the gap in knowledge you are seeking funding to study.
These proposals are vetted by a panel of scientists before funding is awarded.
Once the work is complete, the results are submitted in manuscript form to a journal which will again have it reviewed by a panel of experts. Often time it is requested that further research or experiments are done before publication. Other papers are flat out rejected.
There are however plenty of crap "journals" that publish low quality research. These papers are often ignored by the scientific community. It's why when reading an editorial about scientific research I like to then check who did the research and see where it was published.
