I had an aptmt for 830 this morning with a new dr for a basic checkup. Still waiting. Contemplating leaving since I'm not here for a critical reason.

Hold on for an hour longer. Your health is important.

After a hour of waiting I'm really close to walking. A hour and a half and I'm out the door.

Too much invested in it now. Could call you in the next 5 minutes. Although unless they had a good reason I wouldn't be going back there again

Insurance makes the process slow. All that time while you are waiting, the staff is behind the scenes trying to get approval from your insurance company to touch you.

Unless he has hospital responsibilities this AM, that's pretty bad. The first 2 hours of the day are generally the only ones that run on time. 1.5 hours behind at 10:00 AM is not good for anybody.

But you should wait. Rescheduling with someone else will just take longer.

Go make sure they know you are still there. They probably just misplaced your chart.

Sounds like after an hour you're only 2/3 on your way to walking.

Never understood why doctors and dentists get a pass for treating customers like shite. Any other business that makes you wait longer than 10 minutes for a meeting is considered rude and unacceptable.

If there is a chance of getting a finger up my butt, I'm waiting...

Most doctors I see make me pay the copay up front. I'm sure I could refuse until service is provided but they have signs that say it's required before seeing the doc.

What other businesses can demand your payment up front then change their end of the agreement without consequence?

This.

Sometimes with emergent add on cases in the AM it's impossible to be on time.

However, if he's like an internist or something that's pretty bad to be that far behind that early.
