We have a 3 month old and the wife is already asking.

So how long did you wait? Pros/cons of how long you waited?

secret vasectomy, nut without worry all in them guts.

Just chalk it up to bad luck and hope she doesn't want a fertility doctor.

My younger siblings are about 29 months apart and it seemed like there was barely a break between the two.

Pros: If you have the second child soon then you are still accustomed to the new-born/infant routine and it won't be such a disruption for everyone.

Cons: That's a lot of physical and mental stress to endure in such a short span of time.

Having 2 in diapers at the same time sucks.Mine are right at 2 years apart. When the second one arrived it kicked the first one's potty training into overdrive. Within 2 months of my youngest being born, my older one was out of diapers.

Nine months. Second son is 18 months younger than first. They weren't too backed up to each other, but the older one doesn't remember being an only child.

Divorce imo

But seriously, we have a 1yo and aren't looking at any time soon. He may end up an only child. Right now, we're happy and we don't look beyond that. If we decide we want another one in the future and the time is right, then we'll go from there. But not worried about it now.

We have about a 4 year window though before it won't be an option at all. I don't want to be in my 50s with a kid still in high school and me being on the fence about retirement because of it.

Ours are 18 months apart

They'll be close friends but they might drive their parents insane

Not yet. Waiting to get married down the line to have one or two kids. But then I will be getting one.

Hopefully the supposed gel male birth control will be out by then.

The wife wants them 1 - 2 years apart.

This seems sort of quick for me, I wanted them 4 years apart because I'm a cheap arse. 4 apart gives a break from first car, college, etc.

Careful here... while one graduates high school, the other graduates college... (hopefully)

My kids are 20 months apart. Having two in diapers at the same time can be rough, but once you get them house broken it's a blessing because they are so close.
