how the Advocate has enough subscribers to stay afloat amazes me. How many more slanted articles will it take for those who have had a subscription their entire lives to cancel.

It is a terrible paper now. I always feel guilty when I give them clicks when I glance at the headline or the crime blotter.

Auschwitz is still standing in Germany where millions of jews were murdered. Why? as a reminder to people of the atrocities of a past society and to learn from our past. That and the jews aren't whiny sniveling excuse ridden progs.

same could be said about our plantations of the south, but ya know.#BLM

Is slavery wrong? Yes. Were slaves whipped and beaten while trying to flee every plantation similar to how people are trying to flee communist countries... no

I am pretty sure slaves were in fact whipped when they tried to flee plantations.

You want to talk about revisionist history then the idea that poor, uneducated, newly freed slaves didn’t flee the plantations means slavery wasn’t that bad is a good place to start.

I mean no one is getting married at Auschwitz either.

I’ll say I’m am not for tearing these places down and Most do a good job putting the building in historical context.

Fletch and Fletch Lives are both funny, but I always preferred Fletch Lives just because it was set (and shot) in Louisiana..

Plantation homes should be used like the Whitney Plantation is, as a historical site that shows how both sides lived.

Plantation homes should be used as the people who have money invested in them( the owner) sees fit.

Get fricked dumbass. It’s a fricking beautiful piece of property. Why the hell do you care if someone gets married there or not?

I predicted this would happen a few years ago on this board & I can show proof if needed. I was laughed at by some posters. It is coming & it is going happen. The SJW's want blood.

Nothing common sense about getting married on a slave plantation. How many weddings have been held at the former concentration camps?

Slaves stayed after they were freed. Worked for the same plantation owners.

There was no mass exodus of the south.

Archeologists have found muskets rounds and parts under slave housing at several plantations.

How long until people stop thinking it is okay to have weddings at plantation homes?

I’m supposed to get married at a plantation but we haven’t found one with a Robert E. Lee statue yet.
