Terrible? Average?

My GF is looking to move to this area and she has 2 kids that age.

Livingston and Ascension parish are possibilities as well.

The are for Woodlawn would also put her closest to me. (Which could be good or bad I suppose)

There are no great public schools in BR. That being said this one isn't as bad as all the others

Many refer to it as WEEDlawn

Can they not do magnet or private? Woodlawn doesn't seem to be a bad school but there are better.. It's the best of the rest in reality..

One of the better ones in Baton Rouge. If she can find a place it would probably be better to move a few miles down the road and get into Ascension Parish and go to either Dutchtown or St. Amant.

I am assuming she either can't afford a private school or prefers public.

They actually have a very good STEM program, and a nationally recognized robotics program.

Since she can't afford a private school I'd tell her to do what she can to get into Ascension Parish.

I went to Weedlawn. 6 years ago or so. It's probably gotten worse since.

I wouldn't call St. Amant that close - Dutchtown yes.

At one time, a couple of years back, it was widely regarded by the EBRSO for receiving the most disturbance calls.

Not sure how that plays out today.

Just move 5 miles down the road and get into Ascension parish. Schools are better there.
