I see them all over by the Towne Center on Jefferson. Then plenty more on Corporate.

Ah yes. The condos in BR. The most specific living quarters in the area. They go for exactly $1,267/mo. Thank you for giving a lot of detail in your question or I don't think I could have answered you properly.

Not really worth it.

Condo interest rates are usually 1% higher than a house.

Then you have to add HOA which can run you 2-400/month.

This being said, pricing should be cheaper but just add ~$30,000 to the purchase price of the condo and you will have an idea of the what a comparable house you could buy instead for the same monthly outlays.

120k condo cost the same per month as a 150k house, 180k condo~210k house

I was curious and checked out their website, The Millennium Towne Center. 2br/2ba 1161sqft, starting at $1150.
2br/2ba starting at $1800. or 3br/2ba 1368sqft $1900

These are apartments.

You have no fricking clue wtf you're talking about do u?

I bought a brand new condo right off Jeff on old ham in 05 for $155. 3 bed, 2 bath. Int rate was 4. Sold it in 12 for $195 after being on the market for only 2 weeks.
If you're single & don't want much upkeep, it's the way to go, especially if u wanna live in that area. Spend 5-10 in it, sell it for a nice profit or keep it and rent it. Those same condos are renting for $1600- $2000 right now

I have a buddy that still has one in my old complex. 3b, 2b, w/study. It's about 1500 sq ft., 2 car garage. Very nice place. He rents it out now. No clue if it's occupied or not but I could ask.
Have a client that has another one in there that goes for about 1600

Put it this way, 10 years ago I bought one in Bocage for around 172 and ended up selling for 140. Thought it'd be an investment but I got royally screwed. However I did go all those years without rent (avg 1000-1300) and instead had condo dues for about 200. If anything, purchase NOW. Personally I'd never purchase one again, single or not. Too many loopholes.

Sorry u made a bad purchase. If u bought one that wasn't new, u prolly overpaid around that time. shite was expensive around 06. I've bought & sold 3. Made money on each. All were new though. If u bought in bocage, it was prolly either older or a former apartment turned condo like that bullshite on corporate, the reserve

Actually it was the bullshite one. The walls hollow as hell, you could hear if someone sneezed, the foundation was terrible, too many leaks and other issues. Long story short, the construction people who built them did a SHITTY job. They just wanted to put them up quickly. They're super nice inside and I even upgraded mine with wood floors vs carpet. Still got jipped. When it was on the market people would come see it and hear the upstairs neighbor walking and that would be the end of that. I was living elsewhere just so I could get rid of the damn thing and be done with it. Hopefully this doesn't give my identity away but I woke up to a water moccasin on my bedroom floor and I lived on the 2nd level. No one knows how it got in but I assume from the air duct above the bedroom door since water was leaking from it. Crazy shite.

Wow, lol. Yeah, those were apartments first. Then everything was skyrocketing so they decided to sell them off as condos . Still apartment quality. I lived in Carriage Place, old Hammond hwy, on the right, right before drusilla
