This has been so hard for me. My 2 year old boy comes home with bruises. He goes to Angels among us daycare in Luling. I know he can be volatile. He still struggles with verbal communication obviously. How do you handle parenting not knowing what goes on with your child when you’re now with them??

If there ain't a waiting list to get in, it's not a good day care.

Oh, and cameras with an obsessive grandmother or two never hurts.

Like on his knee from playing outside or like on his face from being hit?

Quite a bit different reaction.

Ours doesn't, I would just make sure it is a reputable day care. My son comes home with bruises and cuts and scrapes but there's always a report of when and how it happened. If it is serious enough the teacher will text my wife and let her know.

Our daycare calls every day to tell us our 2 year old bumped his head. He bumps his head every 20 minutes when he is home with us.

Montessori is the way to go. I was very skeptical at first, but in retrospect it was fantastic for my child. Worth the premium over traditional daycare. Everything from posture to practical skills, to behavior, expectations, self-sufficiency, and problem-solving.

I would be this grandmother in a heartbeat. Only 1 of my 3 attend daycare and he loves it,can't wait to go, and gives his parents the play by play every evening.

I don't have an answer for you but reading your concerns makes me feel so grateful for my kid's situation. Trust you gut if you don't think something is right I guess.

I have anxiety everyday about it but where my son goes is AMAZING. Anytime I want to check on him or want a pic of him sent to me they will. He has the SWEETEST older lady as his teacher. He gets bruises but that boy is adventurous. His bruises are on his shin or elbow from hitting it or falling down. Mine is 3. He only goes 2 days a week tho. I assume I will not be ok when he goes to school 5 days a week. THe fact that his preschool is so open about what they are doing and if i need something from them makes me have more trust in them. I have also talked to soooooo many parents with their kids at the same one and have never heard one negative thing.

Most “daycares” are awful. Find a church/school combo is your only choice.
