Separate the whites and the coloreds. Separate but equal settings on the washing machine. Yes, this can definitely be taken out of context.

This is the correct answer. The load I dry is first so that it can be dried while the other is washed.

Of course, this is only for the week when my housekeeper and butler go on vacation.

Same. All it cost me was the money to replace some nice sweater of hers. Best money I ever spent.

I take the laundry bag and hold it upside down over the open washer. Set it to warm, throw in a couple of pods, and turn it on.

1. Separate it from my body
2. Throw it in the washing machine
3. Take of of washer, into dryer
4. Out of dryer onto body
Repeat

I do one load a week and wash everything together on cool. I take what I want to fold/hang and put them in the dryer. This is shirts and nicer pants. I take them out and fold or hang them and put the rest of the stuff in the dryer. This is normally underwear and gym shorts. That generally just stays in the dryer until next week.

I have never separated laundry, unless it’s one of those shite washers with the large auger in the middle.

I have 3 hampers in our Landry room

Whites
Darks
Delicates (those get separated when washed)

Whites are washed on hot with a little oxyclean white revival added to drum

Darks are washed on cold

Delicates are sorted by white/dark then washed in cold in delicate cycle. This is last because they usually have to be hung to dry.

Jeans are turned inside out, washed in cold water then hung until just barely damp. I throw them in the dryer on low for 15 minutes or so to finish drying so they won’t be hard.

I toss everything in together. It all comes out washed. Nobody is going to know or care you separate your clothes for washing or throw them all in together.
